In Memoriam:

Jim Barker, President of ROTARY/One 1994-95
and District Governor 1998-99 passed on Friday, November 24th.  Jim has most recently been a member of the Rotary Club of Crystal Lake Dawnbreakers in Rotary District 6440. Jim had been a member of the Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo, CA before joining ROTARY/One in 1983.

Jim had stayed in touch with the club and visited a couple times a year. Jim was the Vice President, General Sales Manager for Window to the World Communication, Inc. (WTTW, Channel 11).  Survived by his wife, Arlene.  Children included Jennifer, Scott, Doug, Rob, Kelly and Nancy.   Jim was born in Amsterdam, NY on July 4, 1932. Syracuse University was his alma mater.

A memorial service is being planned by the family.

Rhett Butler, President of ROTARY/One, 1993-94
Passed away on Wednesday, November 22nd. 
A service in Arizona will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11 am at Christ Church of the Ascension on 4015 East Lincoln Drive in Paradise Valley 85253 with reception to follow. 
In June a service in Lake Forest at the Church of the Holy Spirit will be held.

Rhett joined Rotary in 1979.  Married to Kay with two children, daughters Elizabeth and Karen. Rhett and Kay have been living in Paradise Valley, Arizona.  Rhett’s family foundation has been very generous to the ROTARY/One Foundation.  Rhett was born on March 9, 1940 in Oak Park, IL.

His career included being the third President of the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Rhett served as the CEO of Unistrut Corporation in Wayne, MI and President of GTE Directories in the 70’s before starting Butler Products Corp., an investment holding company, in 1985.

In addition, earlier this year, past present Robert Stuart, President of ROTARY/One 1976-77, and Governor for District 645 (precursor to 6450) 1979-80 passed away in Florida.  Bob was Chairman Emeritus of the National Can Corporation, having served as its president until 1973.  Born August 3, 1921 in Oak Park, IL. He has lived in Naples, Florida for many years and a past member of the Warren, OH Rotary Club. A graduate of the University of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian and his second wife of 25 years, Lila May.
